Ahsoka Tano in "The Mandalorian"
(Published Nov 28, 2020)
The child finally being named is more exciting to me than Ahsoka's appearance in "The Mandalorian," but I'll keep this to Ahsoka.
My biggest complaint will be her voice. Ahsoka has always had such a soft, sweet voice. And the actor they brought in to play her had... A much deeper voice so it just kind of threw me off. I know, that's the actor's real voice, but they could have maybe lip synced over it? It just didn't feel like sweet Ahsoka without her sweet voice we've all gotten use to for the past... 13 years.
But I guess that's less of an issue. The second thing is "The Mandalorian" takes place after "Return of the Jedi." Look at the image of Ahsoka from "Rebels." Her head crest is quite large, especially on the top there. In the live action it was WAY smaller. Weird that they didn't make it the same as in "Rebels" or larger since her species, Togruta, grow them to be quite large.
The fighting was a little disappointing because Ahsoka's style is very fast and quite a bit of jumping around. In "The Mandalorian" it just felt... Like she was tired and not being herself... They did bring back her holding the lightsaber wrong which she is well known for, but other than that... Meh.
But the child has a name!
